Bernice Pharr Everett

Bernice Pharr Everett, age 94, of Buford, GA, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Doug Gray; parents, J. C. “Bud” and Mary Everett; grandson, Darren Everett; granddaughter, Vickie Pass; sons-in-law, Roger Craven and Glenn Abernathy; daughter-in-law, Lori Everett; sister, Sarah Everett Casper; brothers, Marshall H. Everett and Lamar Everett. Mr. Everett is survived by his wife of seventy-three years, Evelyn Brock Everett of Buford; children, David Everett of Hoschton, GA, Darrell Everett of Tignall, GA, Dolores Craven of Buford, Donna Abernathy of Winder, GA, Derrick and Wanda Everett of Monroe, GA, Danita and Joey Ashworth of Hudson, FL; twenty-two grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Everett was born on April 29, 1931 in Winder, GA. He was a retired carpenter form T and B Scottsdale Contractors Company, and he was also known as The Tomato Man. He was a member of Collins Hill Baptist Church for over seventy-three years. He was a hard-working man and always busy in his garden. Bernice and Evelyn enjoyed fishing after he retired. Bernice loved his family very much and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Landon Street officiating. Interment will follow at Collins Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 26, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, May 27 from 1:00 p.m. until time for the service at 3:30 p.m.
