Ronnie Lee Jones

Mr. Ronnie Lee Jones, 79 of Temple, Ga passed away May 20, 2025 at Wellstar Community Hospice in Marietta, Ga, following a brief illness.

A Private Graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Drewery Loggins will officiate.

Mr. Jones was born on March 19, 1946 in Scott AFB, IL to the late Willis Lee Jones and Hester O’dell Kinton Jones. Ronnie spent his time enjoying his favorite hobbies; camping, fishing and flying airplanes. Ronnie was a self-employed bush pilot in Alaska and had even built his own RV6 airplane in his garage. He also served our country in the United States Navy.

Mr. Jones is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Amorino of St. Petersburg, FL, his son, Lance Benchley of Arizona, his daughter, Scarlett Benchley of Montana, his sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Michael Emmett of Cumming, his brother and sister-in-law, Willis Jones II and Susan Jones of Newnan, and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and other loving friends and family.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Rd., Gainesville, Ga. 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
