Michael Sewell

Michael Sewell was born on June 12, 1957 in Toccoa, Ga. To the late John Thomas and Ida Mae Sewell. He was called home to be with the Lord on May 7, 2025. Michael Sewell was preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Sewell and Ida Mae Sewell, his sister, Suzanne Jones, and stepsister, Shirley Wilhite.

Celebration of Life arrangements have been scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM, in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home, in Gainesville, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 5-7 PM, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Officiants will be Reverend Dextory Smith and Reverend Zora Hunt.

After high school, Michael worked as a Construction Worker for many years. Michael retired from Construction Work and he spent his time enjoying life and his family. He was an Original member of  240 Atlanta Street. He loved spending time with family and he loved life. Michael was known as the "Life of the Party". Michael could always make the crowd laugh as he always told a joke for everyone’s  entertainment. To know Michael was to love him and everyone loved Michael.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories his loving siblings: Geraldine Jenkins, Tommie Smith, Jerry (Tena) Sewell, Rosemary Watson all of Gainesville,  and John (Lisa ) Sewell, his Life Partner Debra Jones, his stepchildren who he raised Dante Jones and Misty Watkins, his step grandchildren, Dontrice & Shantrice Watkins, several Aunts, Uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces,  great nephews and cousins.
