Eric Lane Baggett

Obituary Date: Wednesday, May 14, 2025

Eric Lane Baggett of Maysville was 53 when he passed on May 14th, 2025 of cancer.

He was an Army veteran and loved old cars and motorcycles. He loved to cook and explore new restaurants no matter how sketchy they looked cause he said you never knew when you would find your new favorite place. He was quite helpful around the house fixing all the things that his wife attempted to fix first. He bought the property that she wanted since her dream was to have a farm. Then built a barn for the horses that he didn't want and a coop for the chickens that he didn't like. He let his wife run wild with whatever crazy plan she wanted and tilled the garden that she managed to kill every year. He ate the awful salads that she picked from the garden that may have had a bit of grass in it since she couldn't tell where the row of spring mix salad ended and the yard began. He dug a hole for the red camellia three times since his wife couldn't decide where it wanted to grow in the yard with minimal complaining. He drew the line at eating her cooking since he did have some self-preservation and wasn't a saint. His attention to detail made him a great machinist and he worked for Peerless winsmith for many years and enjoyed many friends there.

Eric is survived by his wife Heather of 22 yrs and his cat Monster. His son Ryan Baggett and daughter in law Gabrielle and grandsons Eli and Linus. His in-laws Steve and Suellen Daniels were treasured friends and steadfast support. He leaves behind many other friends, archnemesis, and relatives.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
