Nell Stevens Bennett

Mrs. Nell Stevens Bennett, age 95, of Gainesville passed away on Thursday May 8, 2025 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 13, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Janis Ray will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday May 12, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Bennett was born March 6, 1930 in Gainesville to the late Fed and Louella Cochran Stevens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Stevens, sisters, Alene Mayfield, Lois Love and a grandson, Canaan Johnson. She was a homemaker and a member of Briarlake Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Calvin Baker of Gainesville, sister, Maxine McNeal of Gainesville, grandchildren, Zachry Johnson, Abigail Burgess, Hannah Tullis, Bethany Bullock and Samuel Johnson. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
