Michael Dale Pittman

Mr. Michael Dale Pitman, age 76 of Commerce, died on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Piedmont Athens Regional. He was born in Riverdale, GA to the late, Roy and Doris Cook Pitman. Mr. Pitman worked construction with B & D Pitman Enterprise, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Mr. Pitman is survived by his wife, Helen Booth Pitman of Commerce; daughters, Tonja Beall (Rick) of Kennesaw, Valerie Hatch (Michael) of Nicholson, and Malerie Stickel (Paul Dunn) of Nicholson; son, Tim Pitman of Commerce; brothers, Howard Pitman of Loganville, Barry Pitman of Hartwell, and Roger Pitman of Hull; six grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 14^th at 2:00PM from New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Zach Hawks and Mr. Scott Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow in Nicholson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, from 4-8 PM.
