Raymond Allen “Ray” Turner

Mr. Raymond Allen “Ray” Turner, age 63 of Gillsville, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm., Monday, May 12, 2025 at Memorial Park South Chapel. Rev. Phillip Ransom will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2025 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.

Mr. Turner was born July 4, 1961 to the late Charles Frazier Turner, Jr. & Helen Mays Turner in Gainesville, Georgia. A veteran of the United States Army, he went on to work in sales for Frigidaire. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. 

He is survived by his significant other, Peggy McIntyre; brothers, Jay Turner & Charles F. III (Susan) Turner; sisters, Sherron Davis & Terri Myers; 2 grandchildren; and step grandchildren, Cherokee McIntyre, Elizabeth Bree, & Alisa McIntyre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Turner; and brother, Stewart Turner.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hopewell Baptist Church building fund.
