Thelma A. Stevens (Hilton) passed peacefully from this life into the arms of her Savior on May 7th, 2025.
She was born January 22, 1938. Although born in Springfield, Mo she never stopped claiming Texas as her home state.
She loved to study the Bible and teach her Sunday School class at Airline Baptist Church, Gainesville. She worked at the former Trinity Presbyterian Church Daycare. She was a wonderful caregiver, babysitter and nurturer.
She traveled extensively from short beach trips to the Middle East. Her love for family and friends leaves us with precious memories.
She is survived by her husband, David Hilton; daughter, Peggy Weaver (Jerry); daughter, Alice Campbell (Ron Campbell); daughter, Debbie Vermillion (George) daughter in law, Pat Stevens; son Jeff Stevens (Diane). She has many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandsons.
Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Thelma Jepson; husband, JB Stevens; son, James Stevens; grandson, Alexander Weaver and son in law, JR Ledford.
Friends and family are invited to join us as we celebrate her life on May 15th at 11:00 am. Services will be held at Memorial Park - Riverside Chapel at 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Ga. Interment will be at Airline Baptist Church Cemetery.
