Robert “Bill” William Long

Mr. Robert “Bill” William Long, age 73 of Flowery Branch, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. 

Bill was born June 12, 1951 to the late Robert A. & Mary Cobb Long in Orlando, Florida. A veteran of the United States Army, Bill went on to work in sales.

Bill was known for his passion of motorcycling, sailing, sports cars, scuba diving, fly fishing, and his ability to fix just about anything and everything. Those closest to him knew he had a knack, and took great pride in, building a quick and sure campfire that was second to none for all to enjoy together.

Bill was married to Linda Johnson Long on January 22, 1983, and being married for forty-one years until Linda passed on April 28, 2024. They had two daughters, Jennifer and Janelle.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Eliza (Nathan) Roberts & Janelle Long; sister, Kathy (Dan) Gilbert; and five grandchildren: Macie Elise Roberts, Nathan Montgomery Roberts, Maverick Boone Roberts, Jesse Kyle Roberts, and Daisie Claire Roberts.
