Adelaide Monteiro Britte

Mrs. Adelaide Monteiro Britte, age 90, of Flowery Branch passed away on Sunday April 27, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Braselton following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Free Chapel Braselton Campus. Interment will follow in Cemetery of Memorial Park. Pastor Hamilton Harper will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 pm. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Britte was born March 31, 1935 in Mindelo, West Africa on the Island of Cabo Verde to the late Manuel Caetano and Pascoa Joana-Monteiro Caetano.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Britte. She was retired from Joseph Jenks Junior High School and was a member of Free Chapel Church.

Mrs. Britte is survived by her daughter, Zaida Araujo of Jefferson, her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Britte Jr. (Aletha) her grandson, Nathan DoRosario of Massachusetts, grandson, Alton Roberts (Monyca), granddaughter, Sayea Beauford (Coby) of Lawrencville, granddaughter, Richelle Townsend (Nicholas) of Flowery Branch, granddaughter, Shenicqua Britte of Florida, grandson, Jospeh G Britte III of Flowery Branch, granddaughter, Zarya Strothers of Jefferson, her great-grandkids; Sy Beauford, Aiden Beauford, Carter Faulk, Malloy Townsend, Alton Roberts Jr., Nathan DoRosario Jr., Merran Townsend, her brother, Manuel Caetano Jr. of Cabo Verde, her sister, Joanita Peloto of Cabo Verde, and a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
