Sharon “Kay” DuBois Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend
Age 66 | Born in Columbus, Georgia | Resided in Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia
Sharon “Kay” DuBois, 66, of Sautee-Nacoochee, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025. Born in Columbus, Georgia, Kay was a loving mother, doting grandmother, devoted sister, and cherished friend. Her warm spirit, boundless love for her family, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Hugo and Peggy Davis. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Domm (Boyd) and Kelly Kerr (Zack), her grandchildren Nicholas, Lillian, and Jaeson Kerr, and her former husband, Steve DuBois. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary Davis (Michelle) and Mark Davis (Alison), as well as countless friends whose lives and hearts she touched over the years.
A devoted member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church, Kay found great joy in her faith, often spending hours reading her Bible and reflecting on the love it brought her. She loved crafting, especially spending quiet afternoons creating beautiful things with her hands. Above all, she adored her grandchildren, often spoiling them with love, attention, and affection. Kay’s loyal dog, Teddy, was also a constant companion, receiving her gentle care and endless affection.
Kay’s family is especially grateful to the compassionate team at the Longstreet Clinic Cancer Center in Gainesville, Georgia. Their support gave Kay more precious time with her loved ones than they ever could have hoped for and they are forever thankful for that gift.
Kay’s kindness, love, and spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow at Yonah View Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
