Carolyn Palmer Boggs, age 91, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025.
Mrs. Boggs was born on February 9, 1934, in White County, to the late Henderson and Martha Fields Palmer. Carolyn worked as an administrative assistant at Co-Operative Purchasing for over 30 years and was a member of White Creek Baptist Church, where she served on the cemetery committee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Boggs; and brother, Zelbert “Zeb” Palmer.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Denise Boggs, Mark and Michelle Boggs; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Dennis Strange; grandchildren, Corry and Alicia Strange, Blake and Lacey Boggs, Cody and Ansley Crumley, Macy Boggs and fiancé Tyler Anderson; great-grandchildren, Emma Buckley, Brody Boggs, Lexi Boggs, Tory Strange, Mally Strange, Cohen Strange; A special thank you to caregiver Jeannine Burt for 3 1/2 years of dedicated service to Gene and Carolyn. In addition, we would like to thank Karin Raxter, Judy Davidson, Norma Webb, Northeast Georgia Hospice and Dahlonega Assisted, Living personnel for their compassion and care.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 28, 2025, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Lewis Fortner and Pastor Brian Alexander will officiate. Interment will follow in White Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
