James “Swayne” Garrett

Mr. James “Swayne” Garrett, age 76, of Alto, GA died Friday, April 25, 2025 at his residence. Mr. Garrett was born in Homer to the late Luther Reed and Mamie Lou Brown Garrett. He was a retired poultry worker.

Mr. Garrett is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patsy” Garrett of Alto; son, Swayne Garrett, Jr. (April) of Oakwood; daughter, Ruby Garrett of Helen; grandchildren, Nicholas Garrett, Dylan Garrett and Taylor Garrett; and great-grandchildren Delvon Johnson and Johah Garrett.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Monday, April 28 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. John Wayne Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 9 to 11 AM.
