Grace Louise Wheeler

Grace Louise Wheeler, 100, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 to go and be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Grace was born January 31, 1925 in Atlanta, GA, to Tillie Mae (Cason) Sorrow and Walter Thomas Sorrow.  She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph P. Wheeler, daughter, Judy A. Head, grandchildren, Kimberley Starr Head and Joseph W. Head, and 9 brothers and sisters. 

Grace was an extremely loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her and would always go out of her way for those in need.  She was a devout Christian and loved listening to the many teachings of pastors and ministers alike.  She loved going out to eat, always searching for the best fried shrimp.  She was also a fabulous cook and could always be found in the kitchen whipping up something to eat for her grandchildren and then great-grandchildren.

Grace is survived by her son, Zack L. Jones, grandchildren, Heidi L. Dorso (Brian), Dawn Jones and Milton Jones; 6 great-grandchildren Aimee (Charlie), Ashley, Alyssa (Josh), Autumn (Justin), Ava, Aurea, and one great-great granddaughter Scarlett.

Funeral services will be private.
