Leroy Dorsey Thomas

Mr. Leroy Dorsey Thomas, age 84, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025.

Mr. Thomas was born in Murrayville to the late Jim and Marjorie Thomas.  Leroy was a longtime resident of Cleveland, moving here in 1971.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids and family.  He worked in maintenance for Jim Young Construction.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Mildred Thomas; daughter, Sharon K. Hudson; and sisters, Inez Clack and Wriler Cross.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Alicia and David Myers, Johnnie Berry, Nikki Berry, Jamie Payne, and Tonia Huggins; great-grandchild, Emory Edmondson; siblings, Edward and Annie Thomas, Deborah Addison, and Freeda Thomas.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 12 PM, from the Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. Rev. The family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Monday, April 21, 2025, and from 10 A.M. -12 Noon on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, all at the funeral home.
