Wesley H. Smith

Wesley H. Smith, age 75, of Dacula, GA passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Edsel Emery, III, and parents, Irby H and Willie Strickland Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Marcelle Thomas Smith; children, Charles Wesley and Heather Devenney Smith of Lawrenceville, GA, Adrienne Nicole Emery of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Hunter Devenney-Shultz of Tulsa, OK, Bailey Nicole Smith, Ethan Emery, Claire Emery; great granddaughter, Maddilyn Shultz; sisters, Sandra (John) White and Brenda (Ray) Warwick all of White Plains, GA; brothers, Dewey Smith and James Smith both of Decatur, GA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Smith was born on June 25, 1949 in Atlanta, GA, and he was a veteran of the U. S. Marines. He graduated in 1967 from Southwest Dekalb High School and retired after thirty years from AT&T/Lucent Technologies. Mr. Smith was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula, and a member of Spirit Riders Motorcycle Club. He loved going to car shows and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church Chapel in Dacula with Rev. Larry Wynn and Pastor Joey Grizzle officiating. Mr. Smith will Lie In State at the church from 1:00 until time for the service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home.
