Matthew “Matt” Coy Beacham, 38, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on April 12, 2025, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
Matt was born on September 25, 1986, in Gainesville to Janet Nichols. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather Jimmy Joe “Papa” Beacham, grandmother Opal Estelle “Nana” Beacham, and Uncle Timothy Beacham.
He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Shaleena Beacham, and their cherished daughter, Brooklyn Beacham. He also leaves behind his devoted mother, Janet Nichols Beacham; step-grandmother Joann Smith; sister Angel Hullet (Jason); brother Christopher Nichols; nieces Kenzie and Layla; nephews Mason and Eli; aunt Sara Beacham; uncle Jimmy Joe Beacham (Savannah); and cousins Chloe Holbrook and Kaylie Beacham.
To know Matt was to love him. He had a heart that poured into everyone around him. His love for his wife and daughter was immeasurable—bigger than the world—and he made sure everyone knew just how much they meant to him. His happiest place was by the river, where he felt closest to God.
Matt began his career in telecommunications in 2006 as a tower climber, steadily rising to the role of Senior Project Manager. He led with dedication and integrity, earning the respect and admiration of countless teammates and industry peers.
He met Shaleena in 2011, and they married in 2014. In 2015, they welcomed their daughter Brooklyn, the light of Matt’s life. He was a devoted husband and an extraordinary father who always put his family first.
At the request of the family Mr. Beacham will be cremated. A visitation will be held at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Friday April 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
