Ricky Williams

Ricky Williams, 63, passed away peacefully on April 6th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, and
friends. He was born in Gainesville, Ga to the late Lyman Sr. and Annie (Watkins) Williams on July
18th, 1961. He was a lifelong resident of Gainesville, Ga.
Ricky attended Johnson High School and had a great passion for building and remodeling things
where he made it a great career as true craftsman. Ricky also found joy in fishing, going to the
beach, camping, watching movies, and listening to music. He lived life to the fullest and with his
infectious laughter that touched many.
He met the love of his life, Diane Williams over 40 years ago. Together, they built a life filled with
love, laughter, and shared countless adventures together, from memorable trips to quiet evenings
spent at home.
Those who knew Ricky will remember him for his love for cooking some good ole barbeque on the
grill and frying fish. Ricky especially loved spending his time family, friends, and his beloved dogs,
Sadie and Rockie.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lyman Williams Sr.; mother, Annie Williams; brother,
Harold (Louise) Williams, and his sister, Anita Ann Williams.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his loving wife, Diane Williams, five daughters; Keisha (Vonell)
Bates, Marita (Corey) Collins, Crystal (Damien) Harris, Chevon Parron, Dahlia Hendrix; son; Ricky
Wynn; sixteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers; Lyman (Lisa) Williams, Terry
(Evonne) Williams, Dante (Sharon) Williams; A host of nieces, nephews, family, friends, and a
special friend Lawrence Lipscomb a.k.a “BEST FRIEND”
Those who knew Ricky will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Hillside Chapel, Gainesville, GA. Visitation will be held at Wimberly Funeral Home Chapel between the hours of 12:00 PM- 5:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025. Family will receive friends at Bethel Church of the Nazarene between 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
