Alwayne N. Barrett

Mrs. Alwayne N. Barrett, age 87 of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025.

Alwayne was born on December 24, 1937, to the late Buford and Lizzie Mae Nelms. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Barrett.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Mitchell and Tammy Barrett, Cleveland; Kevin and Vonda Barrett, Cleveland; grandchildren, Kevin Barrett Jr. and Briana Barrett, Charlie and Amber Barrett, Chanda Barrett Sheredy, Brittany Barrett Pittman, and Tiffany Barrett Stackhouse and Mark Stackhouse; great-grandchildren, Kasen Barrett, Kolston Barrett, Mavrik Barrett, Krue Barrett, Lennox Barrett, Pierce Barrett, Barrett Sheredy, Palmer Sheredy, Connolly Sheredy, Maple Jane Pittman, Blossom Pittman, Claude Pittman, Canaan Stackhouse and Luke Stackhouse.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, April 12, 2025, from The Chapel at Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Chris Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in the Chattahoochee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the funeral service.
