Delores “Granny” loved everyone she met. She loved taking care of people, and her biggest accomplishment other than her family was becoming an EMT. She worked as an EMT until she retired 15 years ago. She always loved working with service animals, and her dog Princess, her service animal, was most definitely her favorite. She loved singing with church groups and taking care of her tire garden. She loved to swim, go to the beach, and watch the grandkids and great-grandkids play sports. She enjoyed going to the senior center and spending time with her weekend lunch bunch group. She loved to sit and talk to you about her time in Japan and helping to train in blood draws. She was always willing to be a pin cushion. She loved to train on the proper art of making a bed. Granny was loved by many and will be missed by all that she made an impact on. She leaves many close friends behind, too many to mention, but they know who they are. She always made sure to let those that she loved know that they were loved. She was a member at Trinity United Methodist Church, Clermont, GA. Graduate of Fairfax High School, Fairfax, VA, and a lifetime member of VFW 2872 Aux. Athens, GA. In Lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Children’s Health Care of Atlanta or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. W. R. Strickland & Sons, Clermont, Ga.
