Meir (Mike) Shalom Wind, age 82 of Dahlonega, GA, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, March 28, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on December 11, 1942 in Tel Aviv, Israel to Joshua & Eva Wind, Mike lived a life full of purpose, kindness, and passion. From a young age, he exhibited an unwavering determination that would define his journey. As a soldier in the Israeli Air Force, a mechanical engineering student at Georgia Institute of Technology and a brilliant business owner, he was a jack of all trades and graciously transferred his knowledge to many others. He made a lasting impact on anything he touched. Mike was respected not only for his expertise but also for his mentorship and generosity.

Beyond his professional life, Mike was known for his deep love of horses and animals, his strong work ethic which he demonstrated for many years working on his beautiful home and property; utilizing his gifted engineering skills and vision to build anything; restoring antique cars; walking or driving around the square in his hometown of Dahlonega; and enjoying his favorite foods (pizza, bananas, cookies, chocolate and iced coffee). Mike was a member of the Dahlonega Car Club, completed the Citizens Law Enforcement Academy training at the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office and volunteered for the Citizens Advisory Service Board (CASB) in Lumpkin County. Mike also believed strongly in giving back to the community and actively supporting local initiatives.
