Mrs. Naomi (Rail) Lawson, age 85, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm Sunday, March 30, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm at the funeral home with interment to follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Naomi was born in Clermont, Georgia in Hall County on December 11, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Harrell and Myrtie (Brady) Rail. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Herby Lee Lawson and her brother, Lanis Rail.
She worked at Chicopee Manufacturing and was retired from PGI.
She was a longtime member of McEver Road Baptist Church in Oakwood but most recently was a member at Northlake Baptist Church in Murrayville. She was a member of the J&J Retirees organization and had volunteered at Legacy Link, Northeast Georgia History Center and NGHS Auxillary.
Naomi is survived by her daughter Jane Lawson of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Mary Lawson of Gainesville; grandchildren, Patricia Lawson and David Lawson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irma and David Light of Clermont; Vivian and Johnny Cain of Cleveland and a very large extended family.
