JoAnn Coffer Sargent

JoAnn Coffer Sargent, age 85 of Dawsonville, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-one years, Brady Sargent; parents, James and Pearly Coffer; son, Perry O’Neal Sheets; five sisters; and five brothers. Mrs. Sargent is survived by daughters, Phyllis (Jerry) Silvers and Pamela Sheets both of Dawsonville; son, Richard (Becky) Sheets of Fairmount, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Silvers, Mack and Jessica Sheets, Jason and Beth Silvers, Casey and Lindsey Sheets, Josh and Kasey Sheets, Tammy Samples, Scott and Donna Samples; 20 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Sargent was born on August 6, 1939 in Lilburn, GA and received her education at the Gwinnett County Public Schools. She retired after ten years as a seamstress from Forsyth Industries. Mrs. Sargent enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford with Rev. Joshua Sheets officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 28 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
