Janice Rowlette Harvey, age 88, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2025 with loving family
by her side. Born in Michigan, she later made her home in Georgia, most recently in Sugar Hill
and then Dahlonega, where she spent many happy years surrounded by her family and many
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Frances Snarey and sister Sally Finneran
(William). A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Janice is survived by her
daughters Karen Levy (Jeff), Lisa Johnston (James) and Julie Giles (Kenny), her grandchildren
Jennifer Dao (Luan), Lauren Dreher (Chad), Katherine Levy, Madison Kerns ( Hunter), Lindsey
Giles, and her great-grandchildren Peyton Dao, Penelope Dao, Jackson Dreher and Harper
Dreher. She treasured family time and loved creating lasting memories with her loved ones. Her
adventurous spirit extended to many aspects of life from travel and entertaining to her passion
for working in her garden.
Known for her strength, independence, generosity and fun-loving nature, Janice was always up
for new experiences. She was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren, often
trying out new things with them creating many joyful memories. Her vibrant personality and
generous heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at Saint Monica’s Catholic Church, 1700 Buford
Highway, Duluth, GA 30097 on Thursday April 10, 2025 at 11:00 am. Friends and family are
invited to share in honoring the legacy of a remarkable woman who will be deeply missed and
