Leroy Cheatham

Leroy Cheatham, age 78, of Talmo, GA passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by grandson, Joshua Waggoner; parents Haden Cheatham and Joy Louise Farner Cheatham; two sisters; and one brother.  Mr. Cheatham is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Belinda Gail Bowen Cheatham; children, Vicki and Eric Massey of Hoschton, GA, Amanda and Richie Gonzales of Talmo, Leroy Cheatham, Jr of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Brent Massey, Allison Massey, Ashleigh Massey, Dawson Banks, Brooklynne Banks; seven great grandchildren; and sister, April (Wade) Dunn of Turtle Town, TN. Mr. Cheatham was born on April 12, 1946 in Shoal Creek, NC. He retired after more than 25 years as a truck Diesel Mechanic from Peach State Trucking. Mr. Cheatham was a member of Hog Mountain Baptist Church in Dacula, GA. He coached T-ball and softball for 30 years, and he also loved hunting and fishing.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 2”00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Twiggs and Rev. Will Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30 from 10:00 a.m. until time for the service at 2:00 p.m.
