Richard Kevin (Kevin) Henderson

Richard Kevin Henderson (Kevin) passed away on March 23rd, 2025 at his home in Sugar Hill, GA. He is survived by his wife, Laurie Henderson, daughter, Morgan Henderson, son, Connor Henderson, parents, Heyward and Midgie Henderson, brother, Jeff (Angela) Henderson, sister, Robin (Bratton) Tucker, his many nieces and nephews, and four legged best friend, Clover.

Kevin was born in Anderson, South Carolina on November 13th, 1964. He attended the University of South Carolina from 1984 to 1988, graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Marketing and Finance. After college, he began his career with Ford Credit Union from May 1988 to March 2009 then with Sage Software development until present day.

Kevin met his beloved wife Laurie Henderson during college at Easy’s Bar. They began their married life together in Duluth, GA followed by Matthews, North Carolina then to Sugar Hill, GA with a brief sabbatical in Simpsonville, South Carolina in 2008. Kevin and Laurie went on to have two children, Morgan, born October 15th, 1995, and Connor, born May 16th, 1998. They also had several dog children, Cocoa, Bogart and Clover. Kevin and Laurie were married for 31 years, knowing each other for 40 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 127 - Sugar Hill, 6196 Suwanee Dam Rd, Sugar Hill, GA 30518. We ask everyone to wear Kevin’s favorite color, blue

The family will receive friends at Flanigan Funeral home on Friday, March 28, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
