Timothy E. Sparks

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Timothy E. Sparks Sr., age 59, of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Sunday March 23, 2025. Mr. Sparks was born in San Jose, California the son of the late Wilber Sparks and the late Beatrice Weinhelbaum Sparks.

Mr. Sparks worked at S K Battery in the environmental department. He liked to fish and shoot his guns. In 1979 in Santa Clara, CA, Tim was saved and from then on started his journey with the Lord. Tim loved his family, country and church family, but most of all, the Lord. He was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church Athens, Georgia (South Jackson Community).

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Tammy Sparks of Jefferson, GA. Daughter, Tara Sparks of Jefferson, GA and his son, Timothy Sparks Jr of Hampton, VA. Sister, Linda Phillips of Jacksonville, FL. Three brothers, Brad Sparks of Irvine, CA, Mike Sparks of Jacksonville, FL and Patrick Sparks of San Jose, CA. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Celebration of life services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday March 28, 2025 at Crooked Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Brenson Jennings officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12 noon until 2:00 P.M. at Crooked Creek Baptist Church.
