Jack A. Lynn

Jack A. Lynn, age 72, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Higgins Cook; father, Elmer Lynn; grandparents, Carol and Reba Hutchins Higgins; aunt, Becky (Darrell) Born; uncle, Jerry (Diane Hosch) Higgins; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Troyce and Mattie Venable Pugh.  Mr. Lynn is survived by his wife, Karen Pugh Lynn of Buford; daughter, Katie Lynn (Zachary) McClure of Flowery Branch, GA; son, Joseph Anthony Lynn of Sugar Hill; granddaughter, Mattie Kate McClure of Flowery Branch; aunts, Dorothy Grace Higgins Morse of Cumming, GA, Johnnie Lynn of Buford; sister-in-law, Kathy (Andy) Weisberg of Duluth, GA; brothers-in-law, Keith (Gayle) Pugh of Gainesville, GA, Kevin (Cindy) Pugh of Buford; and several cousins.  Mr. Lynn was born on April 1, 1952 in Buford.  He graduated from Buford High School in 1970 and was a graduate of Gainesville Junior College with an Associate Degree.  Jack and Karen were married on October 23, 1982. Mr. Lynn was the owner of Findley Insurance in Duluth where he worked in the insurance industry serving the community for over forty years.   He was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church, the Buford Sportsman Hunting Club, The Chimneys Golf Club where he was an avid golfer and the Duluth Rexall Grill Breakfast Club.  He played football, basketball and baseball all through high school for the Buford Wolves.  Jack will be remembered for this quote, “On that city’s eastern border reared against the sky proudly stood our good-looking Jack, He never told a lie.”  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Zach Brown officiating and with son, Joseph Lynn speaking and Hoby Banks speaking.  Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens located in Buford.  The family will receive friends on Monday, March 24, 2025 at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the Service.
