Mr. Lewis Norman Runaldue of Pendergrass, Georgia passed away at home surrounded by family March 19, 2025 following an extended illness.
Mr. Runaldue was born November 8, 1945 to the late Lewis Riddick & Violet Dewey Runaldue in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk. Lewis loved to read books, play golf, and photograph birds and animals while on nature hikes. Lewis lived almost all his life in Dalton, Massachusetts.
Mr. Runaldue is survived by his sister-in-law, June Lucas Runaldue; niece Jessi Keavney (Michael) of Pendergrass, Georgia; niece Jodi Calvert (Cliff) of Jefferson, Georgia; nephew Jason Runaldue (Daniela) of Sunrise, Florida; great-nieces and great-nephews Madison & Tyler Shadron, Carson Keavney, Wesley Calvert, Jesse James Keavney, Carter Runaldue, Haven Calvert, Cooper Runaldue, Landon Keavney, and Anaiah Mangroo.
Mr. Runaldue was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Riddick & Violet Dewey Runaldue, and his younger brother, Jonathan Dewey Runaldue.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Private graveside services will be held.
