Laura Kolb Jones

Laura Kolb Jones, 70, of Dahlonega, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Laura was the daughter of Ben and Laura Kolb and was born on November 17, 1954 in Atlanta, GA. She had two brothers, Ben and George, and one sister, Betty Ann Hopkins.

Laura graduated from Douglas County High School and later graduated from North Georgia College with a degree in Biology. Following College, she married her college lab partner, Danny Jones, who later became a pastor. She lived a life of loving service as an Army wife, homemaker, mother, lab technician, licensed practical nurse, and pastor’s wife.

Laura is survived by her husband of 46 years, Danny, and two sons, Thomas and his wife, Lizanne, and their two children, Logan and Kate; and David and his wife, Amanda, and their three children, Clay, Gabe, and Elsie.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Laura Kolb and her two brothers, Ben and George.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Northlake Baptist Church with her husband, Rev. Danny Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will take place at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
