Gloria Ann Burell Piper

Ann Burell Piper, age 88, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Piper; son, Rex Humphrey; parents, Floyd and Vera Mauldin Burell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce Burell and Junior Bagley, Virginia Burell and Harold Pass, George Elliott; niece, Donna Bagley Little; and nephew, Tony Bagley. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Teddy Hansard of Elijah, GA; grandchildren, Alisha and Micah Dickie of Atlanta, GA; Rex and Cassandra Humphrey of Citrus Springs, FL; sister, Louise Burell Elliott of Crawfordville, FL; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Piper was born on June 30, 1936 in Buford, GA. She was a 1954 graduate of Sugar Hill School. She was employed by Lovable, Scientific Atlanta, Bailey Cabinet Shop and The Flower Garden.

She was a member of West Buford Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for several years.

She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. This gift brought her immense joy. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home in Buford with Rev. Jerry Bennett and Rev. Jerry McCormick officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
