Mr. Benjamin Neil Parks, 91, of Gainesville, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Jeff Wilkie will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Monday, March 17, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Born on July 23, 1933 in Cumming, he was the son of the late Esley Parks and the late Laura (Castleberry) Parks Cantrell. Mr. Parks retired from Stork Gamco where he was a metal fabricator. He was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church.
Pa, as his grandkids called him, loved to be outdoors on his tractor and lawnmower. He was an amazing gardener who could grow anything he planted, and he loved to share the vegetables he grew with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ann Parks; brother, T.E. “Gip” Parks and brother in law, Jimmie Mathis.
Mr. Parks is survived by his daughter and son in law, Levenia and Eston Martin of Gainesville; granddaughters, Laura Martin, Abbie Barnes (Craig), Lena Bennett (Mark) of Gainesville; great grandchildren, John Martin Bennett, Reagan Bennett, Benjamin Bennett; sister in law, Mary Mathis; special niece, Evonda Mathis and numerous nieces, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
