Stephanie Carroll Johnson Gillespie

Mrs. Stephanie Carroll Johnson Gillespie, 51, of Gainesville, closed her eyes to earth and opened them in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, March 14, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 23, 1973 in Decatur, AL, she was the daughter of Richard Barry Johnson and Linda Easley Johnson. She was a Realtor with the Sheila Davis Group at The Norton Agency and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church.

Mrs. Gillespie is survived by her loving husband, Brian Gillespie of Gainesville; sons, Paxton Gillespie of Atlanta, Camden Gillespie of Gainesville; father, Barry Johnson and mother, Linda Johnson of Franklin, NC; brother and sister in law, Rick and Karen Johnson of Monticello, GA; nephews, Jayden Johnson, Riley Gillespie, Russell Gillespie; mother in law, Dianne Appling; brother in law and wife, Bradley and Marla Gillespie and other loving relatives and friends.

Stephanie attended the University of Alabama and was a devoted “roll tide” fan.  While successful in her career, Stephanie’s real passion was her family.  She was a loving and devoted mother to Paxton and Camden.  As a wife, she inspired so many to love with all of your heart and soul.  That was obvious when she was with Brian, her husband and best friend of almost 30 years.

Stephanie loved to play tennis but more importantly, loved the friends she made on and off the court.   She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed time on the lake with her family and friends. Stephanie served the community working on boards and committee’s for education in Hall County.

A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at a later date yet to be determined.
