Karen Kosnik of Suwanee GA died Friday March 14, 2025, at the age of 76. Karen was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Karen was born on 11/3/1948 in Detroit, Michigan to her parents, Edmund Anastazy Kosnik and Helen Theresa Stascuk. Karen earned her BSN from the University of Michigan and her MBA from Florida Institute of Technology. She had a long career as a Registered Nurse Practitioner and Medical Office Manager at multiple facilities in Florida, Michigan, and Virginia including CEO of the Melbourne Kidney unit, Clinical Coordinator for the Wayne State Surgery Unit in Detroit, and Office Manager for a dermatology office in McLean VA. She was a selfless humanitarian, always trying to care for others.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, Michael James Reynolds Jr and Michael Clell McKinney. She is survived by three sisters Debrah Ann Tesch, Ronda Kay Hinson, and Kimberly Carol Wood (Charles James Wood). Karen is survived by her two loving children, Natalie Jean Swistak and Michael James Reynolds III (Laura Elizabeth Reynolds) In addition, she is survived by 4 adorable grandchildren, Ryan Michael Swistak (17), Megan Lynn Swistak (15), Michael Thomas Reynolds (13), and Michaela Riley Reynolds (13).
In her retirement, Karen enjoyed sewing, crafting, square dancing and spoiling her grandkids. She was active in her church and devoted to her faith. She will be missed.
