Andrew Paul Brannan

Obituary Date: Monday, March 10, 2025

Andrew Paul Brannan, 23, of Gainesville, Georgia entered into the presence of the Lord of Monday, March 10, 2025. Andrew was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, teammate, friend, and follower of Christ. He will be dearly missed.

Andrew was born on April 3, 2001 in Atlanta to James and Carolyn Brannan. One of eight siblings, Drew grew up surrounded by baseball games, family game nights, neighborhood hangouts, bike rides, and trips to Hilton Head. He graduated from the University of North Georgia – Gainesville in 2022 with a dual degree in Early Education and Special Education. He loved serving children, especially those with special needs and spent two years as an educator. He recently began a path as a mortgage loan officer, excited to continue serving others by finding ways to help the less fortunate find affordable housing.

In his life, Andrew was most proud of being a husband and a father. Andrew met Kaylie in 2016 during his sophomore year of high school. After a year of friendship, he worked up the courage to ask Kaylie to prom, and the two of them were inseparable ever since. Drew and Kaylie married in 2022 in a ceremony surrounded by family and filled with love. From a young age they both new they wanted a big family and in November 2024, they welcomed their daughter, Madelyn Mae (Maddie), into the world. Maddie meant everything to Drew, and Drew was Maddie’s absolute favorite person; it came as no shock that she would light up as soon as he walked in the room.

One of Drew’s greatest gifts was his ability to fill a room with laughter. He was the funniest sibling, always coming up with sibling skits, pranks, comedic relief made to order – and timely references to the family’s favorite movie, “What About Bob?” Beyond his sense of humor, he was everyone’s greatest encourager. He brought enthusiasm everywhere he went – whether it was cheering for his teammates from the dugout, his students in the classroom, or his family for every milestone they crossed (and he did it all with one volume: loud). And though his voice filled a room, he rarely used it to center himself. Drew was gifted with using his voice to help others find theirs, and through that, everyone he knew saw him as a place of safety and support.

Andrew joins his two maternal grandparents, his Uncle Jim, and his three heavenly babies. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kaylie Brannan; daughter, Madelyn Mae Brannan; parents, James and Carolyn Brannan, brother and sister-in-law, Mitchell and Hannah Brannan; sister, Emily Brannan and fiancé, Cam Hedges; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Edward Copenhaver; brother, Will Brannan; sister, Lindsey Brannan; and brothers, Skyler and Luke Brannan.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
