Shelton Alex Lawson

Mr. Shelton Alex Lawson, 62 of Flowery Branch, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, after a short battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Park South Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Born April 28, 1962 in Atlanta, he was the son of the late Thomas J. (Pete) Lawson and Rita Compton Lawson.  Shelton was self-employed and worked for many years at Spout Springs Superette in Flowery Branch.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his brother, Steve Lawson (Gelene) of Flowery Branch; niece, Bridget Magowan (Zach) of Alto; nephew, Ivan Lawson (Hannah) of Flowery Branch; and way too many wonderful family and friends to list.
