Andrew Thomas Cheek

Andrew Thomas Cheek, age 81, of Toccoa, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Mr. Cheek was born on May 15, 1943 in Stephens County, Georgia to the late Andrew Jackson "Jack" Cheek and Della Ramey Cheek. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Jeanette Frady Cheek; daughter, Hilda Florence Cheek; and siblings: Jack Cheek, Barbara "Bobbie" Cheek, Zudie Mae Dalton, Phillip Cheek, and Doris Lattrell Cheek Granthom.

Andrew was a husband, father, and grandfather affectionately known as "Paw-Paw" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce Cheek and Anne Marie Morgan of Savannah, Daniel and Jill Cheek of Clyo; grandchildren: Reid and Sara, Travis, Lindsey, Amy, Steven, Cody, Daniel, Amanda, Casondra; great-grandchildren: Jodie, Bryson and Cassidy, Taylor, Gia, David, Nevaeh, Abby; cousin, Mary Cheek of Toccoa; additional family, Todd Alley and Christine; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Austin Ivester officiating. Interment will follow in Chopped Oak Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 8, 2025 at the funeral home.
