Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Earle Richard Stout Sr., age 87, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025. Mr. Stout was born in Beaver, Pennsylvania, a son to the late Robert Clarence Stout and the late Geneva Mae Oppelt Stout. After service in the U.S. Army, Mr. Stout earned his bachelor’s degree from Geneva College and was retired from Amoco Chemicals where he was in sales. Mr. Stout was a member of the Jefferson First United Methodist Church and was a member of the St. James Masonic Lodge # 457 in Beaver, Pennsylvania. Mr. Stout enjoyed the outdoors, particularly hunting and working in his yard as well as woodworking and UGA football. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stout was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Doris Ann Stout of Jefferson, GA; children, Barbara Stout Hingst of Atlanta, GA; Cathy Stout of Cumming, GA, Kim Stout of Athens, GA and Rick Stout and his wife Nikki of Atlanta, GA; sister, Eleanor Courtney of Marco Island, FL; grandchildren, Chase Trest, Griffin Trest, Brody Hingst, Brienne Hingst, Carson Stout and Preston Stout; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A family Graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Evergreen Memorial Park in Athens, Georgia with Reverend Johnny Ray officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Charities, the VFW or any Veterans Charity of your choice.
