Robert D. "Bob" Murphy

Robert D. “Bob” Murphy, 83, of Buford, GA, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2025. A graveside service will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Frankie Southerland will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the charity of your choice, in memory of Bob.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mildred Murphy as well as sister-in-law Wanda Adams. He is survived by his lifelong love Janice Adams Murphy, to whom he remained totally devoted to, in marriage for 62 years; his sister, Cathi (Virgil) Reece of Marietta; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Adams of Buford, Keith (Cerita) Adams of Buford; several nieces and nephews.

Bob was born, raised and lived most of his life in Buford. He enjoyed a career with Scientific Atlanta and serving on the Buford Housing Authority Board. He was a member of First Baptist Church Buford. Bob loved his family and friends, along with good food and the Buford Wolves!
