Rodolfo “Rick” Ricardo Martinez

Mr. Rodolfo “Rick” Ricardo Martinez, 66, of Dawsonville, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Free Chapel Gainesville, date to be determined.

Born on May 16, 1958 in Mt. Clemens, MI, he was the son of Alberto Martinez and Aurora Hernandez Martinez. He was self-employed as a safe man. Mr. Martinez was a member of Free Chapel.

Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his brothers, James Martinez, Bisente Martinez and sisters, Carolina Martinez and Dolores Martinez.

Mr. Martinez is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Martinez of Dawsonville; sons, Albert (Rhonda) Martinez of Jefferson, Ricardo (Lindsay) Martinez of Gainesville, Donald Martinez of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Olivia Martinez of Gainesville; grandson, Trenton Martinez of Gainesville; brother, Gregorio Martinez of Colorado.

Rick was a man who loved God with all of his heart, who also cherished his family and was passionate about people and fishing. If you knew Rick, you loved him, and if you didn’t love him you didn’t know him. He will be forever known for his smile and hugs.
