Mrs. Betty Jo Segars Wilson, 88, of Gainesville, passed from this life into eternity on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Griffin, Rev. Robert Nix and Rev. Mason Taylor will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, February 27th from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born on March 25, 1936 in Franklin County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Bell Segars. She was retired from Wrigley’s where she was a machine operator in the Wrapping department. Mrs. Wilson was a faithful member of New Haven Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husbands, Luke Taylor, Richard Wilson; brother, Donald Segars and sister, Aline Meeks.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son and daughter in law, Roger T. and Donna Taylor of Gainesville; granddaughter, Brandi (Tillman) Odom of Lula; grandson, Roger Taylor, Jr. of Gillsville; bonus daughter and son in law, Lynn and Jason Chambers of Oakwood; bonus grandchildren, Madison Chambers, Tonya (Shawn) McClure, Chris Burnett; great grandsons, Luke Odom, Mason Taylor, Jaxon Taylor, Blake Burnett, Tucker McClure; great granddaughters, Bella McClure, Bailey Odom, Cara May, McKenzie Taylor; great-great granddaughters, Elaina Odom; brother and sister in law, Joel and Glenda Segars of Gainesville; sister, Elizabeth “Libby” McQueen of Tifton and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a number of other loving relatives.
