Joel Dean Anderson

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Joel Dean Anderson, age 75 of Maysville, Georgia who entered rest Sunday, February 23, 2025.  Mr. Anderson was born in Commerce, Georgia a son of the late Marvin and Cora Marlow Anderson, was a Graduate of Lanier Tech and was a member of Maysville, Baptist Church.  Mr. Anderson enjoyed a career as a successful home builder and earned the distinction of a Master Home Builder, he owned and operated Anderson Home Builders for over forty years.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson is preceded by a sister Jimmie Anderson Kent and three brothers, Jerry, Roy and Carl Anderson.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Shirley Hickman Anderson of Maysville.  Son, Joel W. Anderson (Jamie) of Maysville.  Daughter, Stacey Anderson Baxter of Maysville.  Grandchildren; Emma Anderson, Colby Anderson, Hayden Thomas, and Joely Baxter.  One brother, Ray Anderson of Maysville also survives.

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from the Holly Springs Methodist Church Cemetery with Dr. Shane Roberson officiating.  Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Troy Anderson, Zack Anderson, C.J. Sykes, Dylan Varner, Nick Patrick and Ricky Sanders.  The family will receive friends at the Graveside after the conclusion of the service.
