Mrs. Mary Lois Osteen, 94, of Flowery Branch, took her last breath here and opened her eyes in heaven on Sunday, February 23, 2025 following a period of declining health.
Funeral services in Gainesville, GA will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Stewart and Pastor Gary Osteen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Services in Florida will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Pleasant Grove Assembly of God, 7051 Turkey Creek Rd, Plant City, FL., 33567. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Born on October 24, 1930 in Plant City, FL, she was a daughter of the late Sherman Lee Wesley Casey and the late Bessie Maybell (Eady) Casey. She was a homemaker and a member of Cornerstone Tabernacle in Oakwood.
The personification of Proverbs 31, Mrs. Osteen was a Prayer Warrior, who believed in the power of prayer. She was known as the “Grandma” of the Church where she helped in many roles. She loved caring for her family and cherished every moment with them.
Mrs. Osteen was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 51 years, Floyd Arnold Osteen; daughter, Connie Cecila Osteen; granddaughter, Jennifer Osteen and 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was a nurturing mother to her sons and daughters in law, Robert Gayland and Ann Osteen of Suwanee; Sherman Gary and Audrie Osteen of Oakwood. She was the cherished grandmother of Jeremy and Carrie Osteen, Jared Osteen, Andy and Chasity Osteen, Briana and Robby Burell and her 10 precious great grandchildren; her beloved sister, Carolyn Prahl of Lakeland, FL and a number of loving nieces, nephews and other relatives along with her church family.
