Katherine Thrasher Dollar

Katherine Thrasher Dollar, age 86, of Buford, GA, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Lyman R. “Bug” Dollar; grandson, Kip Jones; parents, Bart & Clara Hamilton Jones; brothers, Tilman Thrasher, Harold Thrasher, Jerome Thrasher; Mrs. Dollar is survived by her daughter, Patricia Dollar Jones of Buford, GA; son-in-law, Thomas Keith Jones, Sr. of Buford, GA; grandchildren, Kory (Ashley) Jones of Buford, GA, Jenna Jones of Buford, GA; great-grandchildren, Kallie, Kaitlyn, Kami; brother, Kenneth (Pat) Thrasher of Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Dollar was born March 31, 1938 in Buford, GA. She received her education at Vance Cross Roads School. Mrs. Dollar was retired. She had worked for Lovable Company in Buford and also was a caregiver for many years. Mrs. Dollar was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church in Buford, GA. She enjoyed shopping and talking on the phone to her friends and spending time with them and her family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Chris Fowler officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home
