Janice (Howell) McKenzie

Mrs. Janice (Howell) McKenzie, age 71, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 pm Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, February 24, 2025 at Free Chapel with interment to follow in Alta Vista Cemetery.

Janice was born July 11, 1953 in Decatur, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Joel Howell and Ruth (Thompson) Howell.

She graduated from Brenau University of Nursing and also obtained her Masters degree in Business Administration. She was employed at Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she managed the CCU after working in ICU. Janice was very proud of her contribution in creating the cath lab for the Ronnie Green Heart Center. She dedicated her life to God, healthcare, and her family. She was a loving wife, mother of two and a grandmother. She had a true calling and passion for saving lives and helping people. Mrs. Janice McKenzie will be missed beyond measure.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kim McKenzie; son, Jonathan McKenzie; daughter, Kristen McKenzie; granddaughter, Linen Grace and a niece, Jennifer Howell and a number of other close friends and family also survive.
