Harry Brooks

Harry, the angel God sent was born in Buford, Georgia on June 29, 1954 to Broughton and Emmaline Brooks. He attended Buford City Schools where he graduated. He was employed with Foot & Dave printing company, Graces Insolation In Health Professional Filings in Doraville, Georgia. He will be missed deeply by literally hundreds of people. Harry was a special soul and it’s a safe bet that you will never meet another one like him. Harry’s ability to generate excitement around people and their skills. He had a winning personality and dazzling smile that made him one of the most sought after and admired men.

Harry turned his burdens into blessings, struggles into strengths, pain into power and troubles in triumph. What a description of a life well lived. He was always hopeful and refused to complain. Harry Donald Brooks, age 70, of Buford, Georgia, died on February 13, 2025, after an extended illness. God called Harry to Him, he heard and answered. He left with the angel of God holding his hand. He transitioned peacefully from labor to reward. Beautiful in life, so he was in death with his cousin and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, and sister. He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his loving wife, Mary Brooks; two daughters, Rita Lynn Brooks, Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Wade (Cassandra); bonus daughter, Melody Bennett; godchild, Leshey Duffey; six grandchildren, Deione Bledson, Quintavia Bledson, Teara Nolley,Torry Nolley, Jada Force, and Sherrell Brinson;  five great grandchildren, Armani Bledson, Kynzleigh Nolley, Aden Nolley, Ariia Nolley, Oaklynn Nolley; special niece, Samaria Williams; special cousin, Brenda Carson; special in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Williams (Vet), Mr. Tyrone Tiller (Bonnie), Mr. Alton Tiller and Carlene Thomas, and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, cousins and friends. Together Again.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 22 from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at 1:00 p.m.
