It is with great sadness the family of Williamson Whitfield Parks III, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 following a long battle with cancer.
Bill was born on January 27, 1951 to Roscoe Conklin Parks and Johnnie Smith Brookshire in Decatur, Georgia.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Wendy W. Parks, his daughters Amanda (Alan) Finn and Valerie (Flint) Weed, grandchildren, Zach Finn, Josh Finn, and Breah Weed, his sister Lynn Tugwell, many nieces and nephews, and other family members Marsha and Gary Grizzle.
Bill had a natural talent for the game of golf and an enormous heart for all animals.He loved his wife, his children and grandchildren abundantly. All through his illness.
Bill kept a positive outlook, generous spirit, and a kind heart that left an impression on many.
Services will be held at Asbury Chapel, Gainesville, Georgia on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The visiting hour will be held from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at Asbury, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery in Winder, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Asbury Chapel, 758 Main Street, Gainesville, Georgia.
