Alan Gordon Galley, 86 of Lula passed away on Thursday February 13, 2025, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center - Gainesville Campus.
Born in Moline, Illinois, Mr. Galley was the son of the late Cyrus Galley and Ruby Miller Galley. He was a Veteran of The U.S. Army and graduated from Iowa State University as an electrical engineer. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Faithful Friends Sunday School Class. He was an avid biker and loved traveling the world. For the last 20 years he served Pleasant Hill Baptist Church by overseeing the facilities, building, and grounds. His love of his family and grandchildren was his greatest joy.
Survivors include his children, Laurin and Tony Price, Orlando, FL; Edie and Brian English, Lula; John and Farrah Galley, Jefferson; grandchildren, Zach and Mackenzie English, Megan English, Mckinzey English, Amelia Galley, Ella Galley and Mason Hayes, Lucy Galley, Cooper Galley, Cameron Price, Tyler Price; siblings, 2 brothers and twin sister, Elaine Blank.
Funeral services will be held Monday February 17th, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Dr. Shaun Daley and Rev. Jason Lester will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Sunday February 16 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
