Stephen Wesley Barnett

Stephen Wesley Barnett, age 51, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 3rd, 2025, in Suwanee, Georgia. 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Roxann Burrell, and his brother, Luke Burrell. 

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Summer Barnett, and his two children, Gabriel and Sydney.

Stephen was a loving father and a loyal friend. He joined the Army in 1991 as a second lieutenant and left as a Captain. As a child, he dreamed of becoming a pilot. His dream became a reality when he flew Black Hawks in the Army. He was married for 27 years to the love of his life. He proposed after only knowing her for six months. His favorite pastime was spending time with his wife and children or bragging about them to others. Stephen never did anything halfway. He spent his life doing everything for the people he loved. He was a prominent member of society, coaching youth sports for his children. He was a surrogate father to all of his children’s friends. He was a medical sales representative for most of his life and found his calling through saving others’ lives. Stephen will be missed every day, but he will never be forgotten. We will remember his humor in this trying time.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 15 from 12:00 noon until time for the service at 1:00 p.m.
