Mrs. Halleen Waldon Waldrip, 96, of Gainesville left for her heavenly journey Tuesday, February 11, 2025 following a period of declining health.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2025 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jeff Wilkie, Rev. Scott Sorrells and Rev. Jimmy Hogan will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Born on June 4, 1928 in Gainesville, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Lee and Clara Mae Vinson Waldon, She was retired from Milliken and Company – New Holland where she worked for 43 years.
In addition to her parents, Rev. Lee and Clara Mae Waldon, Mrs. Waldrip was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Doyle Waldrip; son in law, Dwayne H. Ferguson; brothers, Bud and Walter Waldon; and sisters, Jeanette Cook, Willene Tolbert and Burndeen Elliott.
Mrs. Waldrip is survived by her daughter, Judy Waldrip Ferguson of Gainesville; grandson and wife, Todd and Heidi Ferguson of Gainesville; great grandson, Palmer Ferguson of Gainesville; brothers, Carl Waldon of Alto, Tony Waldon of Alto; special nephew, Larry Waldrip and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
